Inspired by bamboo, our Buluh Perindu is a hand-turned lamp base that will surely be a great addition to your unique home decor.

Hand-turning is a traditional woodworking technique that involves rotating a piece of wood on a lathe while shaping it with handheld cutting tools. This process is used to create a variety of furniture parts, such as table legs, chair spindles, and, in our case, lamp bases. 😊 It is a skilled process that requires a lot of practice and patience to master. However, it can produce beautiful and unique furniture parts that are difficult to replicate with modern manufacturing techniques. As with everything handmade, there will be some imperfections that make each piece unique and original.

Thereafter, every piece is sanded and painted, often multiple times, in a process that requires a lot of patience and is extremely time-consuming. We use French Chic chalk paint to achieve that rich and creamy look.

Measurement: Bottom 15cm, height 45cm.

Our Buluh Perindu comes with cloth wrapped cord for that finished look, and a generous 180cm length for your convenience to place it at your desired spot.

Sizing

Choosing the right size lamp for your shade can be subjective, so remember that there is no wrong choice if you love your lampshade! Feel free to experiment with different styles, colours, and sizes to enhance your home. If you need some help, here's our guide to lampshade sizing.

Fittings & Orientation

If you are replacing an existing lamp base, please double-check the fitting to ensure compatibility with your existing lamp shade. Our lamp bases have a standard Malaysian fitting, if your old shade has a US fitting the pattern orientation might be incorrect. Easy problem to fix, just buy a new shade! Please refer to our light fittings & orientation guide and US light fitting examples before confirming your order.

Processing Time

All shades are handmade and the pattern placement may differ to the photos shown. We aim to dispatch within 4 – 5 days of your order.

Please allow 2 business days to receive your shipment notification email after placing your order.

Shipping & Returns

Shipping
Currently we only deliver in Malaysia. Your order will be carefully packaged and delivered wherever is most convenient for you. Shipping is calculated at checkout and delivery takes 2-5 business days depending on your location. You'll be able to track your package by using the Shipping Confirmation email that we send as soon as your order begins its journey.

We can ship elsewhere but we need to make some special arrangements to ensure you get your purchase. If you'd like to explore this option then please drop us a note and we'll get back to you.

Returns
We take pride in the quality and uniqueness of our handmade products and we assure you nothing but the best. We have also described and photographed all products as accurately as possible. However, as these are handmade items, there can be instances where pattern placement, size and colour may vary slightly.

If you are for any reason unhappy with your purchase, do drop us an email within 7 days of receiving your product with your name, product number and reason for exchange, along with a picture of the product.
